Brad Messner, PhD is a cybersecurity and artificial intelligence expert, professor at the University of Pittsburgh, and nationally recognized speaker. With more than 25 years of industry experience spanning software development, automation, cybersecurity, and information systems, Brad helps organizations leverage emerging technologies while managing risk. His research focuses on AI, blockchain, and financial system security, and he was one of only five recipients of the inaugural NSA NCAE-C PhD Scholarship for cybersecurity research. In addition to teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, Brad advises businesses on cybersecurity strategy and has assisted organizations nationwide in responding to data breaches. Brad is passionate about making complex technology accessible and helping organizations prepare for the future of AI and cybersecurity.
